Get Married, Texas!
Soon, with some hope and prayer, the U.S. Supreme Court will rule in favor of marriage equality and all Texans will finally be able to marry the person they love. Although the road to full equality and safety for LGBTQ Texans is far from over, marriage will be a huge milestone.
The aim of Marriage Freedom Weekend is to have a stress-free way for same-sex couples to obtain marriage licenses, petition for a waiver of waiting periods and finally get married.
Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir, many Travis County judges and numerous religious leaders will be on hand to help you marry the love of your life.Facebook Page Visit website
5th Annual Stonewall Celebration
Join Austin PRIDE for the 5th annual Stonewall Celebration on the south steps of the Texas Capitol! This year we celebrate the 46th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and possibly the Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality! The Stonewall Celebration pays tribute to the individuals that sparked the modern-day gay rights movement in June 1969 at the Stonewall Inn.RSVP on Facebook Visit website
